Being a parent means having faith

Despite how bad things seem to be going in the world, having faith that the future will be bright for our kids is a fundamental mind shift you undergo as a parent. You are their referral point, they learn from you attitudes and behaviors they’ll carry with them (and often replicate) for their whole life.

This doesn’t mean you have to be perfect all the times and hide your struggles; on the contrary, showing that we are human and we also deal with issues we face, is normal, actually important. Kids can see us fall, but they should see us stand up again, too.

The trick is that this doesn’t just *happen* – you have to find and renew that faith every day of your life. As a parent, you can’t just ‘give up’.
